High quality reproduction of an original Geba, on Ilford paper
“Ge Ba”, which literally mean “fabric paintings”, are collages made between the 1950s and 70s in China, to recycle all kinds of materials, including old clothes.
The resulting material will then be re-used in other clothes, but discreetly: as garment lining or shoe sole.
It is striking to notice that these workers, thanks to their bold compositions, obtained the same esthetic qualities as avant-garde artists such as Paul Klee, Nicolas de Staël or Serge Poliakoff, who were active at the same time in the West.
You can choose these beautiful compositions to match with your interior’s colors.
Material: Recycled material and rice glue
